Sometimes it takes courage for some to visit the dental office and we want to applaud and help you make the best decision possible for your unique situation. The main goal of the First Visit at Metro West Orthodontics & Periodontics is for us to get to know each other.
Prior to your First Visit, it would be helpful if you can provide the name of your general dentist and your dental insurance information. We will do our best to obtain X-rays from your general dentist and your dental coverage prior to your arrival. If we are not able to obtain current X- rays from your general dentist, you may be asked to take X-rays during your first visit to give you proper diagnoses.
During your First Visit, we will review your medical history, dental history, your needs and wants.
One of our friendly assistants will take facial and intra oral pictures to help you better understand your oral condition. If time permits, we will take an iTERO scan of your teeth to show you how you would look before and after orthodontic treatment.
Dr. Kim will provide comprehensive extra oral, intral oral, TMJ, Airway, and Sleep evaluation followed by treatment options, risk and benefit of each options, followed by maintenance.
We focus on not only on the treatment that is provided now but what needs to be done to maintain the result. Your homecare and future maintenance will be a key to achieving long term optimal oral health.
At the end of the First Visit, you will be more knowledgeable on your condition and your options. We hope your First Visit has empowered you to make a decision that is right for you.
