This week we would like to introduce you to our team member Tami King!
Tami King is Metro West’s Office Administrator. Prior to joining Metro West Tami worked with Dr. Miyamoto and Dr. Lang at Creighton University for seven years! Tami says her favorite part about working for Metro West is, “We all come from different backgrounds and walks of life, but we come together as a team to give our patients the best care possible. We are a big family and take care of each other”.
Tami grew up in a small German town in Iowa called Schleswig. She has one brother, Scott, who she says is one of the best golfers she has ever met! After graduating high school Tami left Schleswig for Omaha where she attended dental assisting school. Since her move to Omaha, Brother Sebastian’s has become her favorite restaurant due to the cozy atmosphere and great food. Tami and her husband, Ken, have six children: George, Hailey, Nolan, Ella, Mireya, and Eli. Family time is very important to Tami. She enjoys watching her children participate in activities, family movie nights, concerts, and watching Nebraska football! Go Big Red! When asked, “What is something you can never leave home without?” Tami exclaimed, “My cell phone! I am lost without it!” Who can blame her? Especially being a parent! Tami’s favorite color is magenta. She sees it as a color that represent her personality – spiritual yet practical, encouraging, with a balanced outlook on life. Tami always admired her Grandmother, LaRue, because she was passionate, hardworking, and loving. She selflessly served others and touched the lives of everyone she met. Tami does her best to walk in the footsteps of her grandmother, that is why her favorite quote is, “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart”.
